While waiting for kit to come in I started on the Z axis. From reading the posts here I decided to go with linear rails so I could use an old router I already had. I also ended up using some left over thick plexiglass I had. I also 3d printed some parts for the dust collection which seem to work well. Lift motor is a 600rpm one with encoder like stock one, and easily moves the router.

It is like 120mm travel.
