Z-axis question for Rigid 22002 router - software setting

The Ridgid 22002 moves 3.175mm (.125" ) for each turn of the depth screw, and can be made pretty accurate.

Not sure what situation you’re seeing, but here are are some threads that might touch on it:

Z-Axis Bungee To Ensure Correct Depth

I was noticing that the router was not always plunging to the depth it should when the Z-Axis moved. When I would push on the top of the router it would drop to the correct level, and getting that bolt on the plunge lock at the exact tightness was a pain. I added some small bungees around the handles, and over the top of the router and the tension pushing towards the work surface is enough to ensure the router plunges at the given depth. @paulinus, i’ve had that problem too. You’re right about the orange button, it follows the threads and will be damaged if the router body doesn’t slide with it. In my case, my z-axis ran away when I was testing some software, and ran into the end stop. The orange button sacrifices itself They are not expensive, I bought a couple so I would be ‘ready for next time’…

Z-Axis Zero changes when Circular Sled is Started

The .nc file sure looks proper. Have you checked mechanical things like the set screws? If yours is a Ridgid router, check the orange ‘goodie’ - I had a spate of mysteriouis z-axis trouble after running mine into the stops a while back, which damaged that part, see the discussion here. It is a cheap ($1) part, but often slow to ship. I bought several to be prepared for the next time.
