Calibration Issue

Good Morning - we have used both a MacBook Pro and a Windows laptop in an attempt to calibrate our Maslow.
Unfortunately, it gets as far as “Cut Test Pattern” and locks the screen.
We have tried both 1.09 and 1.08 with the Arduino running 1.09 Firmware.
This is a screenshot …

Any clues what’s happening?

Cheers…Doug

Good morning!
Bar identified an issue with the calibration sequence, discussed here, with a potential fix for Windows here.
If you need a Mac version instead, let me know, I can get one out to you.

What mac OS are you on please?

Thank you

Have you had a chance to check whether that solved the issue?

Is this a Maslow without a linkage kit?

There should now be a Mac version available in the same folder!

The issue was that Ground Control was hiding the pop-up which asks you to adjust the zaxis depth…that was a mistake on my part…sorry for the trouble!

Hi Bee - High Sierra version 10.13.3

Sorry blurfi, we’re in Australia so there’s a bit of a time lag issue plus we only get the weekends to work on it!
I’ll give you feedback when I can…

Cheers…Doug

Sorry, I have a new issue with the calibration. I am using the “bolt together frame”. Just to be clear; I wiped the EEProm and started from fresh. Whether I choose top or bottom feed from the script, The Chain method of measuring center to center gives me a -321 mm measurement. My actual measurement from the tape is 3016.25 mm. Of course this mucks up the chain calibration etc. One more thing, I am using the Triangular method of suspension.

Hmmm that is most certainly not correct.

I haven’t seen it come up with a negative number before. Let me think on why that could be happening

What version of Ground Control and firmware are you on? What OS are you running?

Thank you

I think he already answered that above

@bar I think …

That was @dlps73 on 8/15, @George_Mallard just joined this thread 12/15 unless I’m seeing it wrong, meaning the thread.

New Player, new stats

Thank you

You are correct…my bad!

no worries , I think I’m the Umpire.

Thank you

Are you starting with the first link of the left chain on the top tooth of the left motor, hanging down off the left side of that sprocket? Top- or bottom-feed, both need to ‘Extend’ the chain from the left motor across to the right motor then ‘Pull it tight’ before clicking ‘Measure’. Apologies if that’s what you’re doing, it seemed like a way that a negative value could occur. :slightly_smiling_face:
