Clamps top screws are readily accessible. Have you thought using the router base locking mecanism onto one of the wood clamp? Maybe the one closest to the workspace. Would that make a quick release for router bit change?

A ‘quick release’ like you have them on bicycles would be cool.

Maybe some kind of a cam lever around the bolt at the head or nut. I’m personally envisioning something that may or may not exist.
