Dewalt DW618 Question

I have this router. Will it work without any mods or am I better off just getting the Ridgid R22002. Appreciate any input/advice!

YOU WOULD have to put it on a Chinese extruded aluminum z axis. can be done for about $40. or you can just buy the ridged r2202

I figured there would be some kind of modification involved. Since I’ve kinda got the Dewalt committed to another jig it will probably be best to just go with the Ridgid. Thanks so much for resonding!

I am a Ridged tool fan. That being said, the Z-Axis ( that is designed to fit the Ridged) is problematic due mostly to it over using the original depth adjustment.
Make an informed decision by reading up in the forums about the z axis issues. Knowing what I know, I would have paid more when I bought the kit for the promise of a modified Z-Axis (had there been any).

I noticed what looks like a c-beam on @Metalmaslow’s sled, does that come with their kit?
