Im very new to setting up a machine like this, so will be slow on the uptake so please bare with me.
Ok so on my first set up i updated the firmware and then tried to retract the belts which only moved a small distance and stopped. I presumed i updated the firmware incorrectly so tried it again and it got halfway and stopped, i left it to do its thing and 40 mins later nothing had changed so i turned off the machine (which i realise is where i messed up) but when i turned it back i cannot get back to the machines page on the web browser.
I have no idea what to do now so help is appreciated.

The first thing is to get reconnected. Are you connecting to the maslow as an
access point? or are you connecting it to your local network?
Once you get reconnected, not being able to fully retract is not unusual. It can
be that the arms are too tight, either the motor is too close to the spool, or
the bolts connecting the two halves of the arm together are too tight.
for many people, telling it to retract several times, then extending, and
repeating a few times can wear things in to where it will move more freely. You
can also change the current limits in the maslow.yaml file The default is 1300
but it can be set to up to 3000 if needed. It’s best to get things moving
freely, even if that means disassembling the arms to find what’s binding, adding
lubrication, etc.
but first you need to get connected, and to help with that we need more info
about what’s happening.
I have a windows computer. The blue led is flashing and the green is constantly on. The blue led flashes 96122191 but i dont know how to use that number as an ip address.
I think i was connected as an access point but now i cannot connect and i cannot find the maslow anymore. I have used find my maslow and maslow.local but its not there. I do not know how to input the ip address from the flashing blue led as what i have seen through a google search they have dots between numbers.
When i was connected i tried to retract and extend but both did nothing.
The blue blinking light means that Maslow is connected to your wifi network successfully.
Can you try either turning off the wifi network or moving the machine to somewhere it cannot connect to the wifi network and turning it on?
When the machine first turns on it will look for your wifi network and connect automatically. If your wifi network isn’t available it will create it’s own “Maslow” network that you can connect to.
ok so I think I know what was going wrong. I was using the wifi at work (large site and multiple routers) where I planned on using it but nothing was working. Thought id give it a go at home and it connected and when I put in my password it all worked. Any ideas on the cause/what i can do to get it working there?
That makes sense, there are ways that the network admin could turn off the ability of devices on the network to find and talk to each other (for security reasons). You could talk to the network admin about what the options are, but the easiest solution is just to use it in AP mode where the machine creates a “Maslow” wifi network and you connect directly to it there. The only downside to that is you can’t be on the internet and talking to the machine at the same time.
