Lowes has a new Kobalt 1-1/4 hp trim router for CNC and some are being given away at v1e.com

That seems to short a time for it to take off. I’m hoping there’s a rework now they’ve sold out the first batch that makes it the same size as real Makitas and most of the clones, 64.8mm instead of the 65.8mm one they released. I have it on a non-Maslow (Sainsmart 4040) and it took a plastic headed hammer to get the 65mm mount around it. Once installed it’s been working great, but no Makita (or copy) accessories will fit without modification

Hey, I picked up a discounted Kobalt Router earlier today, paid $69 + tax. 5yr warranty…

That was despite website being wrong about price, wrong about availability, store layout being wrong, and inventory system being wrong.

Looked the other day at my Lowes, they had 2 in stock at the $59-ish price point, though I looked previously and the website stated "“not available.”

Website currently says $39 at one store, and $99 for another ~10miles away. With “Pickup ready by Feb 13th” (week from today), seems far off, not something I would wait for.

Earlier today, I ignored the website and drove to a store where website listed $99 today, but listed $39 just a few days ago… I failed to locate by myself, ended up asking friendly helpful staff, they eventually found with assistance from their colleague. Finally picked up two for $39 each, separate receipts so can gift. Shared some of my experience below, hope something here helps Others/Lowes/Kobalt…

Picked up couple of Kobalts for $39 each recently. Curious to see post from anyone that’s made these work for their Maslow 4?
