MASLOW shows up as a network, but now when I connect to it (though it did work the first couple of times I powered it up ), it goes to this webpage - MSN. I thought I was having an issue with the IP address (same as my home router, the ubiquitous .0.1, but DHCP is working for everything else.
I have moved it closer to the router to make sure it wasn’t a distance issue.
One option I have considered is just clearing the boxes for my home router and it’s password, but still facing how to get back into the MASLOW to do this. Anyway to reset to factory (as received) defaults?
Thanks for any assistance.
BTW - not seeing the blinking blue LED, yet. Should I be worried?
You can try turning off your router wifi or moving Maslow 4 away from router to re-establish the Direct connect to the M4. 192.168.0.1 , password 12345678. If that works make sure the details you entered for you network are correct before trying to login again on you network

The IP being the same as your router is irrelevant, as that would only be the case if the Maslow itself is creating the network, and it doesn’t matter that they are the same because they are on different networks. For instance, all of your neighbors routers likely have the same local IP as both your router and Maslow, and are just as unrelated to your problem. If the Maslow is on your home network, it will be assigned an IP on that network and, unless you make it static, will be variable (and not match the router); this is why the Maslow.local address exists, to bridge that variance.
If you’re actually connecting to the Maslow’s network, there is absolutely no way you are getting to MSN, or any website, for that matter.
We can’t give proper advice if you aren’t sure of what you are seeing.
You also describe ‘clearing the boxes’ for your home network, which suggests that you’ve put the Maslow on your home network. It would not be creating it’s own network at that point, so it wouldn’t be there for you to see in your network list, much less connect to.
You won’t see a blue LED if it is connected to a home network.
Turn off your router, turn on the Maslow, connect to the Maslow network, remove your home network from the Maslow, and use the Maslow network instead of putting it on your home wifi.
With all of the issues people have had putting it on their home networks, I can’t recommend using that feature and, at least for calibration, advise specifically not using it and calibrating with a direct connection.
OK, thanks for the help! I have moved the MASLOW back to the other end of the house, taken off my home network, and used a laptop - stripped of all other networks, it found and connected to MASLOW straight away. SO putting it here among my collection of computers and WIFI devices confused things mightily. It’s only been …ummm… 21 years since I retired as a “Senior Network Engineer” , at least that’s what my job category was. The ‘numbers’ are still the same, but my personal wetware is sorely in need of an upgrade!
Again, thank you. I’ll be back, I’m sure!
