So I’m unable to currently connect to my Maslow - via direct network or in a web browser. Initially I was able to connect to Maslow directly, but like some others wasn’t able to select a file to update via its popup window. I was finally able to select a file to update via a browser window. After following the instructions to be able to connect Maslow to my WiFi network, (setting the Sta/SSID & Sta/Password) I have since not been able to connect. (The instructions say to restart your machine for the changes to take effect - I’m assuming that means pull the plug out and in again. I also restarted my laptop. I’ve tried Safari, Opera and Firefox browsers.) I tried each of the 3 methods listed: maslow.local, findmymaslow (result: no machines found) & counting the blue LEDs for an IP address. In this last method I got 10 digits - is the IP address format xxx.xxx.xxx.x ?
Any thoughts as to what’s going on? I don’t have Maslow in my list of WiFi networks to choose from atm and can’t seem to be able to add it back on. Not sure if I’m missing something basic here. (The 2 green LEDs are constantly on, the 2 orange ones stay come on and off at different intervals.)
can you look in your wifi router’s admin interface for the IP address it
allocates to the maslow? (and if you can, it probably is not a bad idea to
change that to be a static IP)

I was able to find this assigned to it: 192.168.2.35 And its status is showing as disconnected (though Maslow is plugged in).
(Unfortunately I don’t have direct admin access to this workplace wifi to change it to a static IP)
I’d be happy to go back to a direct connection to Maslow if that’s the easier solution at this point. I just figured this way I didn’t have to download firmware files before connecting to Maslow to do updates and then switching back to use wifi on my laptop for other tasks.
if you power it up when the SSID it’s configured for is not around, it will
revert back to running it’s own and you can go into the config and clear the
setting.

That is awesome to know. I will take it out of range and give it a try.
Were you able to get connected?
Did you try both maslow.local and http://findmymaslow.com/ (firefox only)?
It’s possible that for security reasons your workplace network might not allow devices to connect directly to each other (IE the network might be blocking you from connecting to your machine), but that is a network admin question I think
Thanks David, I think that may have did the trick. I drove a block away with the Maslow and plugged it into my car. There I was able to see the Maslow network show up on my phone, (though still not on my laptop). However, after some time back at the office I was eventually able to see the option to connect to Maslow directly again from my laptop. You mentioned to clear the SSID setting once back in so I just now cleared the SSID text box and ’set’ it. The Password textbox did require 8 digits for some reason, so I just put something random.
Bar, I did try both maslow.local and findmymaslow (and the IP address obtained from the blue LEDs) but didn’t have any luck. You’re probably right about it being a network admin issue - and since I don’t have full control of the settings here, I’ll happily stick to the direct machine connection for now.
