Now that people are completing a fair number of projects, I figured It would be a good idea to solicit some experiences from project builders.
If you’re able, please include any examples of consistent or particularly bad Tear Outs, including a picture if you can, bit size and type, plywood type/grade and your router feed and speed (ipm and rpm).
My interest is in the condition of the Vaneer layer of the plywood, front and back, and preventing chips and flakes that mar an otherwise clean cut.
Hopefully we can come to some conclusions about what kind of initial/final layer cuts work and what definitely doesn’t, and be able to work up some more informed general tips in the future.
