Waste board grid?

I’m just curious if there’s anyone outthere who has used Maslow to Scribe a grid in the waste board to help place smaller pieces on it more accurately. Maybe even add some dog holes or something for attatchment as well. Most of the lay down CNCs have this and I do understand mounting can be an issue due to interference but I think it would still help. I would also love to see how accurate the grid would be, showing the spots that are warped and show you what areas to stay away from making cuts in.

There are a number of relevant threads, although I don’t know if anyone has done exactly what you are asking.
