Hey Maslow Community,
I’m finally diving back into this after a long (and unexpected) delay.
Five years ago, I bought the full Maslow CNC kit from MakerMade — back when they were still shipping the original sled design (pre-branding update). I was beyond excited and had big plans… but before I even got the box open, my house flooded — from the top floor all the way down. It completely derailed my project (and life for a bit), and it took nearly four years to get the renovations done and reclaim the garage space to build the sled and set everything up.
So now, after all this time, I’ve finally assembled the CNC. It’s basically “new,” but also technically four years old — and I’ve run into some issues.
Here’s what’s happening:
- I’m using Ground Control, but the system is showing my router about a mile north of its actual position (it’s sitting center).
- I can’t seem to get support from MakerMade anymore — probably due to the age of the purchase.
- I was honestly about to tear everything down and repurpose the parts… until I remembered this forum.
So, before I do anything drastic:
Can anyone help guide me on what software I should be using today to get this back online?
Any tips on resolving the Ground Control misreading issue?
I really want to give this machine the shot it deserves — it’s been a long time coming.
Thanks in advance to anyone who’s willing to help get me unstuck.
